Delivering an infection control link nurse programme: improving practiceSouthampton & South-west Hampshire This is the second in a series of articles describing a research study that examined the efficacy of an infection control link nurse programme, which had an educational programme based upon adult learning theory, delivered using an action research approach. This article describes the results of a quantitative study that aimed to identify if the utilisation of this programme led to improvements in infection control practice at clinical level. Implications for practice are discussed.
